Stem Cell Treatment for Visual Impairments

Since 2007, Beike’s stem cells were used to treat different types of visual impairments, such as Optic Nerve Atrophy (ONA), Optic Nerve Hypoplasia & Septo-Optic Dysplasia (ONH/SOD), Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON), Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), Diabetic Retinopathy and other optic nerve/retinal conditions.

The aim of our treatment is to regenerate the patient’s optic nerve and retinal cells by using stem cell transplantation. To do so, the stem cells are injected by IV, lumbar puncture and/or retrobulbar injection depending on each patient’s personal condition. This unique combination allows for better targeting of the affected areas.
