Stem Cell Treatment for Stroke

Stem cell treatment for ischemic stroke combined with supportive therapies give patients real chances of improvement

Why our treatment approach for stroke is effective

Since 2005, we have been developing extensive protocols regarding stem cell treatment for stroke to overcome the limitations of conventional therapies. In our protocols, stem cells are combined with specialized supportive therapies for stroke. We do not only focus on helping the patient to cope with their symptoms, but also treat the root cause of the symptoms by promoting the healing of the original brain lesion. We believe that our comprehensive stem cell treatment for stroke gives our patients the best chances of improvements, allowing for a better quality of life.

How stem cell therapy can help with ischemic stroke

An ischemic stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked, causing damage to brain tissue. This often results in a variety of neurological deficits, including paralysis, cognitive impairment, and speech difficulties. Umbilical cord derived stem cells can help to repair and regenerate damaged brain tissue by promoting the growth of new blood vessels, reducing inflammation, and stimulating the production of new neurons. Studies have shown that stem cell therapy using umbilical cord derived stem cells can improve motor function, cognitive function, and overall quality of life in ischemic stroke patients. This makes stem cell therapy a promising treatment option for this devastating condition.

Possible improvements after stem cell therapy for stroke

The purpose of the treatment is to help regenerating the original brain injury in order to restore neurological function. Stem cells may also exert a neuroprotective effect by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, and by modulating the immune response to prevent further cell death after the initial injury. Our patients have experienced, among others, the following improvements*:

  • Improved motor functions
  • Increased muscle strength
  • Improved speech
  • Decreased spasticity
  • Improved vision
  • Improved social skills and communication

*It is important to remember that as for any medical treatment, improvements cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us for more information regarding the possible improvements for a particular case.

Our treatment program in details

Since 2005, we have been developing and optimizing our treatment protocols with the concept that only a very comprehensive solution can allow our patients to truly benefit from stem cells.

Our stem cell treatment for stroke program consist in 6 to 8 simple and minimally invasive injections of umbilical cord derived stem cells. The stem cells are transplanted using two separate methods: by intravenous way using a standard IV drip system, and through intrathecal injection performed after lumbar puncture. These two delivery methods allow for increased efficacy while ensuring safety and minimum inconvenience for the patient.

The stem cell treatment will be accompanied with an intensive, individualised, daily therapy program to stimulate and activate the stem cells.

  • 15 to 23 Days Stay
  • IV & Intrathecal Injections
  • UCBSC / UCMSC Cells
  • Daily Therapy Program
  • 120-400 Million Cells
  • Nutrition Program

Ischemic Stroke Patient Improves After Stem Cells

Ischemic stroke is the most common form of stroke, caused by a narrowing or blockage of blood flow in the brain. As a result of this lack of blood flow, cells begin to die and this can cause irreparable damage. When Ana had an ischemic stroke a few years ago, …
